Regalia

STOLES, CORDS, AND JEWELRY

Pi Tau Sigma is now partnering with Award Concepts to provide direct online ordering of graduation regalia and jewelry by chapters or individual members at this link (https://www.acgreek.com/greek/index.php). Simply use the pull-down menu to select Pi Tau Sigma. This replaces our old system of ordering via our own EXCEL form. Extra brass keys may still be ordered via the latest form on the PTS website as described below. It’s best to get orders for cords and stoles submitted in time each semester in order to receive the regalia in time for your commencement ceremony. To be sure to receive your orders in time for commencement, they should be submitted approximately one month ahead of the ceremony date.
As an international mechanical engineering honor society, Pi Tau Sigma is a prestigious community known for promoting the highest of professional and ethical ideals. An inherent part of the Pi Tau Sigma ethos is the donning of our regalia; ornate stoles and performance medals that symbolize the excellence and dedication of our members. While our regalia can be compared to a victor’s spoils in the world of academia, we also recognize their relevance to popular culture. For instance, the concept of regalia is widely appreciated in the horror film industry, as seen in the cult classic, “Friday the 13th”. The upcoming event, Scream Comes Home, held at the original filming location, features exclusive merchandise which can be considered as the fans’ own unique regalia, showcasing their passion and dedication. Interestingly, the concept of regalia extends even to the world of online gaming. While playing at aussie casinos online, gamers can acquire digital badges or tokens, which similar to our academic regalia, symbolizes their achievements and mastery in their gaming sphere. Whether in the field of mechanical engineering, the horror film cult, or the expansive domain of online gaming, regalia carry a profound meaning. They are cherished symbols of hard work, dedication, and membership to a proud community.
